What is Qi Gong?

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese practice that works with the natural flow of energy to promote healing, stress reduction and fluidity. It is simple, easy to learn and can be done by anyone at any age and fitness level. Even a few minutes a day can help enhance your mood, energy levels, clarity and peace of mind.  This simple form of exercise consists of breath work, invigorating moves to increase energy flow, stretching to elongate muscles, postures to build strength, flowing movements to bring peace to the mind and body and meditation.

How Can Qi Gong Help You?

Qi Gong is effective for pain reduction for people suffering with arthritis, fibromyalgia and other auto immune disorders. It is an excellent exercise for people with high stress levels, high blood pressure and anxiety and it also help prevent pain and illness by boosting the body's natural healing systems.

What To Expect In A Qi Gong Class.

You don't need a yoga mat or any fancy equipment; just a willingness to have fun and some comfortable clothing that lets you move. Julie Conrad, Holden Certified Qi Gong Instructor, will lead you through a series of movements with modifications for anyone with physical limitations. In fact, Qi Gong can be practiced from a seated position in a chair. Many students report feeling calmer, clearer, energized with peaceful energy, improved sleep, increased mobility and range or motion and better balance both physically and in life.
