My Intuition Just Saved Me This Weekend
This weekend, I was supposed to be in Barcelona.
A friend invited me, the plane ticket was only $500, and I had a free place to stay. At first, I wanted to go so badly.
But I've learned to pause and listen to my intuition, so I said, "Let me think about it."
After journaling and contemplating, my intuition said, No, not now.
I was disappointed but trusted the guidance inside.
Here's the thing: a week ago, I tweaked my back, and it's still healing. I'm literally sitting on a heating pad as I type this. There's no way I could have dragged luggage through an airport and sat on a flight for eleven hours with this pain.
I could have never known this in advance, but my intuition knew something wasn't aligned for the trip.
Apparently, it was my hip.
Intuition Saves Time, Money, and Anxiety
This is what intuition does—it saves us time, money, and anxiety. It shows us the next right step, even when we can't see the full picture yet.
I find that using my intuition has become one of my greatest assets. It's guided me to:
Book a plane ticket to a healing class a trusted advisor suggested. My intuition said Yes! and that one decision changed everything.
Research qi gong twelve years ago after a single conversation lit up my intuition. I did a 30-day class and felt so much better. Then I got an email about learning to instruct. It didn't make much logical sense, but I followed my body's feeling of excitement and expansion. It was one of the most healing and transformative experiences of my life—and it led me to create Trilogy Alignment, my own healing modality. I don't think I would have created one without the other.
Write my book, Conversations In Between. I could have said, "No, I'm afraid—I've never written a book before. I'm not an author." But I trusted the guidance, and it became a beautiful adventure filled with synchronistic events, wonderful people, and opportunities I never could have planned.
Your Intuition Is Already Talking to You
The truth is, intuition is embedded in our everyday language. We say things like:
I have a hunch. I have a feeling. I got chills. I had a dream. I have a vision. My gut says. I don't like the vibe of that place. Our vibes really match. Something just made me come in here.
All of this is intuition.
You have it. You may not have thought about it much, but it's there. And here's the beautiful part: every time you trust it, it gets stronger, clearer, and more reliable.
Learning to Distinguish Fear from Guidance
We override our intuition with fear and anxiety, but when we get clear, we can see when something is truly "off" versus just being afraid.
Intuition is often very persistent when trying to get your attention—waking you from dreams, pressing on your heart to follow it, creating a constant dialogue in your mind with all your logical arguments about why not to do something (or in my case with Barcelona, why to do it).
How to Get Clear and Hear Your Intuition
Learn to get clear and calm so you can hear it. Try:
Coloring
A walk without music
3-5 deep breaths, then ask for the truth
Drinking a glass of water with the intention of bringing flow to your intuitive thoughts
Journaling with a brain dump, then your question
It's already inside of you—intuition is your gift. What you do with it is up to you.
